Leaf Guard®

Leaf Guard gutter protection cannot guarantee that you will never have to clean your gutters again. Leaf Guard admits that in spite of their gutter protection system small bits of debris can get into your gutters. They rely on rainwater to wash this debris away, but it’s more likely that these ingredients will muck up and clog your gutters. Why invest in a gutter protection system that can’t prevent clogged gutters entirely?

Unlike Leaf Guard, Gutter Helmet can promise that you will not have to clean your gutters again. Gutter Helmet panels are individually prepared and custom-fitted over your gutters, leaving just a 3/8″ horizontal slit for rainwater to enter your gutters. Through gravity and surface tension the patented nose-forward design blocks ALL debris from entering your gutters while filtering rainwater freely into downspouts and away from your home. Gutter Helmet is a complete, definitive, and enduring source of protection for your gutters and your home.

GutterShutter™

Gutter Shutter cannot ensure that your gutters will always stay unclogged and that rainwater will flow away from your home properly. Why? Because the Gutter Shutter system is supported by large pieces of hardware that fit INSIDE of your gutters, which can affect the flow of rainwater. When small pieces of debris fall inside your gutter, they can clog along the hardware installed inside of the gutter, causing the same kind of clogs and build up that you were trying to avoid in the first place. The inside of your gutters should be free of any additional hardware or bracing, to make sure that water flows uninterrupted into the gutter, where it can then flow to the downspout and away from
your home.

Unlike Gutter Shutter, Gutter Helmet installs over your existing gutters without filling you gutters with bulky hardware. Gutter Helmet installs OVER your existing gutters. Before installation, Gutter Helmet representatives always clean gutters out completely to be sure that there is absolutely no build up or debris left in your gutters. Then, once Gutter Helmet is installed, water will run freely and cleanly into your gutters and away from your house. Gutter Helmet uses the scientific principle of surface tension to ensure that rain water will flow from your roof, to Gutter Helmet, to your gutters and away from your house in a smooth and seamless manner.

GutterBrush™

GutterBrush cannot claim that you will not have to clean your gutters again. Why? Because GutterBrush is essentially a cylindrical brush that is installed inside of your gutters. Be cautious of any gutter protection system that installs hardware inside of the gutter as this is a hindrance to the flow of rainwater. Sure, GutterBrush may keep larger debris out of your gutters for a while, but over time dirt and smaller debris, combined with rainwater, will muck up your gutters. These damp clogs invite insect infestations, which are only fixed by—you guessed it, cleaning your gutter manually.

Unlike GutterBrush, Gutter Helmet protects your gutters without installing any hardware inside of your gutters. Our patented nose-forward panels fit seamlessly over your existing gutters. Our expert gutter protection installers will individually customize your gutter helmet panels to fit the pitch and design of your roof.

LeafX™

LeafX gutter protection cannot guarantee that you will never have to clean your gutters again. The LeafX system functions on the basis that some small bits of dirt, seeds, and debris are going to get into your gutters. They rely on rainwater to rinse this debris away, but it’s more likely that these ingredients combine to create clogs your gutters, hindering the flow of rainwater. Why invest in a gutter protection system that can’t prevent clogged gutters entirely?

Unlike LeafX, Gutter Helmet can ensure that you will never have to clean your gutters again. Gutter Helmet expert installer will individually prepare and custom-fit the panels over your gutters, leaving just a 3/8″ horizontal slit for rainwater to enter the gutters. Through gravity and surface tension the patented nose-forward design blocks ALL debris from entering your gutters while filtering rainwater freely into downspouts and away from your home.

Leaf Relief®

Leaf Relief cannot ensure that you will never have to clean your gutters again. Leaf Relief gutter protection is a thin metal panel with hundreds of small holes that fits over your gutters. They position themselves as a less expensive gutter protection system that provides the same protection as Gutter Helmet. Unfortunately, that’s not true. Homeowners who have used Leaf Relief complain that dirt and debris still found its way through the grated surface, causing clogging and rainwater overflow.

Leaf Relief does a good job in comparison to the sponges, brushes and other unreliable gutter protection products available, but Gutter Helmet does the BEST job. Our promise is that you will never have to clean your gutters again. We can promise this because there are no openings in our system except for a 3/8″ horizontal slit below the lip of the gutter protection panel. And due to our nose-forward design, gravity prevents debris of all shapes and sizes from entering your gutters.

MasterShield™

MasterShield is another gutter protection product on the market. However, this company cannot say you’ll “Never Clean Your Gutters Again®”.

MasterShield relies on a steal micromesh gutter filter. The filter fits over your gutter. It is supposed to keep debris out of your gutters, while allowing rainwater to flow in.

Trouble is, material can get stuck on MasterShield filters, causing them to clog. That means you periodically need to perform gutter filter maintenance or cleaning to ensure that your gutter protection system continues to work properly. The maintenance required usually involves climbing a ladder with a hose and spraying off the leaves and debris that has accumulated on your MasterShield gutter filters. But what is the point of investing in gutter protection if you still have to periodically climb up on your ladder?

Your Gutter Helmet Gutter Protection System will function for a lifetime with minimal routine maintenance. Your gutters are cleaned for the last time before installation by your local dealer.

Gutter Pro™

Gutter pro has been developed and engineered to remove rainwater running off your roof at a rate of 7″ per hour. Not bad. Gutter Pro is similar to Gutter Helmet because the panels fit over your existing gutters without installing bulky hardware inside of the gutter. Gutter Pro boasts of its three uniquely angled surfaces that slow the speed of the water on each surface. This is an interesting design, but here is where the comparison to Gutter Helmet begins to stray. The top of the Gutter Pro panel is spotted with specifically sized and placed holes. They claim that the purpose of the holes is to allow water to enter the gutter from the roof. However, any gutter protection system that has openings, especially facing upward, is liable to problems.

The problem is that over time mud, gunk, and pine needles can clog the small holes on top of the gutter pro gutter protection panel. What is the danger of these holes clogging? The answer is that rainwater cannot filter into the gutter completely. Instead, the rainwater has to flow off of the roof, eroding your landscaping and even threatening your home’s foundation.

Gutter Helmet provides the best protection for your home because the Gutter Helmet panels have no horizontal openings. The only opening on the Gutter Helmet system is a 3/8″ slit that sets right below the lip of the panel. Gravity prevents the opening from clogging, and surface tension directs rainwater into the gutter. Gutter Helmet is the only gutter protection system that can truly say, “You’ll Never Clean Your Gutter Again!”

LeafSlugger®

LeafSlugger gutter protection offers homeowners a 20-year limited warranty. The 20 years sound pretty good, but we would recommend that you do your homework on exactly how “limited” the warranty is. You may find that the most common or plausible problems are not covered.

On the other hand, you could save your time and effort by going with Gutter Helmet. A Gutter Helmet warranty lasts for life. Even if you decide to sell your home, the warranty stays with the home as long as it exists. In addition, every Gutter Helmet installation is backed by Gibraltar Industries, a multi-billion-dollar company. Live carefree, live easy with Gutter Helmet.

Gutter Topper®

Gutter Topper gutter protection has similar characteristics as Gutter Helmet. Each system uses surface tension to guide rainwater in gutters and downspouts. Each can be installed over your existing gutters without affecting the warranty on your roof or gutters. But there are important differences between Gutter Topper and Gutter Helmet.

One homeowner’s story effectively demonstrates the difference between the two gutter protection systems. This homeowner lived in an old home with a steep pitched roof. Gutter Topper was installed on their home, but it only took a few rain storms for them to realize that rainwater cascaded down the pitch of the roof so fast that it flowed off of the roof and onto their lawn. Gutter Topper did not create enough surface tension to pull the rainwater in to the gutters.

Gutter Helmet gutter protection panels have a textured, ribbed surface. The textured surface increases surface tension and tensile strength sufficiently so that even homes with steep pitched roofs can be protected properly from the harms of rainwater.
